Hey there, I’m Michael Peterson, the principal behind Video Epic.

My journey here wasn’t a straight line, but hey, that’s what makes it interesting, right?

I started way up in the clouds…literally. For years, I was an aviation engineering tech in the Royal Australian Air Force, maintaining and modifying supersonic fighters and strike aircraft.

Then Qantas recruited me to do the same thing on their Boeing 747 and 767 aircraft.

I loved the technical challenges, but as time went on, my creative side started itching for a change.

With the Internet becoming a ‘real’ thing, my creativity found a home in building websites, back when websites had to be hand-coded.

Then my eye was caught by the emerging technologies of Motion Graphics, making things move on screen!

Seeking to take my creative skills as far as they would stretch, I sought training from professional Hollywood film editors. Thanks, Film Editing Pro. You guys rock!

I now work daily with the ‘tools of the imagination’ including Photoshop for image artistry, After Effects and Unreal Engine for crafting stunning visuals and VFX, and the industry-standard Premiere Pro for seamless professional editing.

The name “Video Epic” reflects my drive to create videos that leave an emotional impact. Whether through my own marketing endeavors or through client projects, Video Epic’s mission statement is to infuse each project with cinematic visual power and emotive musical scores and flourishes.

The Aim? – To engage and resonate with the target audience at the deepest possible emotional levels.
